The 50 States Marathon Challenge, Completed in 50 Consecutive Days

Most runners take 5 to 10 years to complete a marathon in all 50 US states. I did it in 50 days. The 50 States Marathon Club has over 5,500 members who've completed this legendary challenge, traveling state by state, planning around work and life, spacing races across years.

I ran 50 consecutive marathons across all 50 US states from January 22 to March 12, 2025. In winter.

Through snow in Alaska. Ice in the Midwest. Freezing rain in the Northeast. Desert heat in Arizona. Every climate. Every terrain. No rest days. Then I kept going. I added all 8 Australian states and territories, 8 more consecutive marathons from March 13 to March 20, 2025, finishing in my home state of Queensland, in Brisbane.

58 marathons. 58 days. 58 states and territories. 2,463 kilometers.

One mission: Prove that we're capable of more than we think.

Why compress the 50 States Marathon Challenge into 50 days instead of spreading it across years?

Because I wanted to show that mental toughness isn't just about endurance over time, it's about endurance in time. It's about showing up every single day when your body is broken, your mind is screaming to quit, and the only thing keeping you going is the decision to not stop.

The 50 States Marathon Challenge tests endurance and commitment over years. My challenge tested resilience and mental toughness in real-time. Both are valid. Both push limits. Mine just compressed a decade into two months.
